Are you looking for personal license plates to find out if what you want is available? If so, go to the Dept. of Motor Vehicle website of your state.
If you are trying to track down an anonymous driver's license plate - I doubt that can be done by the general public. |

There isn't one. Only dmv & law enforcement folk can do that. To allow such searches to go on would be a violation of privacy laws. |

I would say, if you have a legitimate reason to ask, call the DMV or hey, even the police.many states allow insurance companies to run CLUE reports, which can include much of the information you probably want. |

You can't. It's against Federal law.
Drivers Privacy Protection Act
18 U.S.C. § 2721 et. seq.
(Public Law 103-322)
Section 2721. Prohibition on release and use of certain personal information from State motor vehicle records...
The exceptions are to run your own information, for law enforcement in their normal duties, tow companies with actual possession of a vehicle, and insurance companies with a claim against a vehicle.
Unless you fit one of those categories, you can't get the information since you have no right to it. |

if its in the usa then im not sure, but here in engerland................you can use the vosa site but you have to have certain info like chassis number or mot certificate reference number!! hope it helps. |
