Where can i insure 2 cars on 1 policy?

I did it with Hastings, and got a very good policy for a very good price, both cars are 1.5 Litre, and the cost is spread out over 12 months, I even have the phone no. for you, call them on 0800~00~1066, and remember, the more you can pay on your liabilities, the cheaper the policy will be, I quoted an excess of Â£250, named only myself as the only driver of both vehicles, and one or two other excess agreemants, and it cut the cost of the fully comprehensive policy almost in half. Any insurance company will insure as many cars as you'd like. And even give you a multi-car discount.

Most companies put all vehicles on one policy. I know that State Farm (in my area) writes each vehicle on a separate policy but you still get the multi car discount. Progressive will only write 4 vehicles on one policy. If you get a 5th vehicle, you have to write up another policy. You still get the multi car discount though

Any insurance company will take multiple cars on one policy, what is the problem? Multiple cars on one policy adds up to discounts.

I don't see the big deal here. You can do that anywhere. I have State Farm and we have 2 cars under 1 policy.

There are very FEW companies that put each car on a separate policy. Farmers is one of them. Not knowing what state you are in, I can't give you exact companies in your area but the major ones would be Allstate, Nationwide, The Hartford, Travelers, Progressive, Chubb. Some of the smaller companies would be Maryland Casualty, National Grange Mutual (NGM), Peerless, Concord Group, Cigna - these may or may not be in your area. All of these companies put all of your vehicles on one policy (unless you have 5 vehicles in which case some of them may write a vehicle by itself on a "5th vehicle" policy because their programming only allows 4 vehicles to "fit" on one policy.
I have been an agent for 18 yrs & I didn't even know that a company would put 2 cars on separate policies (unless one was a personal vehicle and one was a business vehicle on a commercial policy) until our agency bought another agent that had Farmers. I have also lived in 2 states (in different areas) and written insurance in 6 states. If you have an independent agent, call your agent first, see if you can change your company to one that will put more than one vehicle on a policy. If not, look in the phone book & see if anyone writes any of the companies above. Most of those companies above write through independent agents, some are direct writers (their agents work for them only).

the best place i know to is an insurance company called http://www.admiral.com and they do something called 'multi car' which lets you add more than 1 car on your policy

I'm not sure you can, we have 4 vehicles and they all have to have a separate insurance policy, although it is classed as 4 vehicles with the one insurer, it's not actually one policy.
