what is the recommendation for the best place to store the vehicle title? in glove compartment or in a safe deposit box?

NEVER in the glove compartment. If someone stole your car they could forge the title & have it put in their name. I have a safe at home where all my important papers are stored. |

I keep mine in my safe, since they are a pain in the backside to replace if lost. As for information about the title, I keep a copy in either the glove compartment or console for reference. |

No, don't keep in in the vehicle. Put it in a safe place, like a lockbox or a safe deposit box. |

To keep the car thieves happy, the glove box. Then they can just fake your signature.
On the other hand, it you want it in a safe spot, either a lock box at your house, or the safe deposit box at the bank so if you need it you can lay hands upon it quickly. |

I keep the registration in my wallet or somewhere in the car not easy to find like in my seat cover. If someone steals your car, they have access to where you live, and registration to your car. Title should be kept somewhere like a fire resistant safe. |

Instead of paying monthly fees for a safe deposit box, I would invest in a fireproof home safe. |
