I have just insured my car for £160 less than my broker quoted me. My broker was swinton, wanting £560 a year but i went with Elephant.co.uk as they quoted me £400 with the same 'details' as Swinton.
But each time you get a quote, you get a different price regardless of who you go with. Just remember two things... Firstly that shopping around and lack of loyalty pays and secondly that ALL insurance companys have discount they can play with. Its just a question of getting them to use it! |

Just renewed one of my policies and the cheapest were:
LV, Norwich Union Direct and Tescos.
Try one of the comparison sites eg www.moneyfacts.co.uk etc get the quote then go direct to the organisation that's cheapest - you may save a further amount!! |

I tried all the comparison sites I could find and
swift.com was the cheapest for me. |

it depends on the type of car you have and also the area you live in
we have found tesco insurance to be quite reasonable |

Why not try going to Confused.com and looking there. Just fill in the details of what type of insurance you want and let Confused.com do the hard work for you. Then you can compare the different prices and find out which one is the cheapest. Good luck. |

Yeah, go for http://www.confused.com every time, but bear in mind that companies are flexible.
I just got a quote for my dad, and a quote with Swift Cover via confused saved him £80 on his renewal. A quick call to Churchill, his existing insurer, and they matched it. |

Go to www.google.co.uk and type in "car insurance comparison" you will get loads of sites up that you put all your details in, and you're given the best car insurance quote for your specific details. |
