Which state is it easiest to obtain a drivers license?

It is very easy to get a drivers license in every state. As long as you can prove your identity, are able to demonstrate that you know how to drive safely, are able to pass a simple written test, and are able to pass a vision test. It's a cinch. If you can't do one of those, though, you probably won't be able to get a drivers license in any state.

If you are talking about id, all states have been tightening up since 9-11. They have no choice, as there are national minimums put in place by Homeland Security. You cannot get a post box in any state and use it as any kind of id for driver licence, because you do not live in a post box. You need something with a real address on it, even if you receive mail at a post box.

"Proof of residency. The following may work: electric or water bill, lease agreement, vehicle-registration receipt, mortgage documents, homestead exemption receipt, bank statement, notarized employer verification on company letterhead (with a phone number) that states your address, your parent or guardian's state driver's license (valid for those who are under 21).
Social Security card (non-metal) or a print out from the Social Security Administration.
Certified birth certificate.
If you are under 18, you will need to provide a Certificate of Attendance from your school. This form is only valid for 30 days."

Now if you are talking about the actual tests, there are not big differences from state to state, except as regards learning local laws that may differ from place to place. Mississippi, 15 is the age limit. They will take a thumb print but only check local area. As for address you will have to go to a mail box place and rent a box for 6 months. show the DOT your proof of address and you will have a license.

not really the state but the DMV you go to, the one where i live is hard as hell to pass most people fail first time around but in the next town over its pretty easy
