Car insurance companies...
Who do you have, and would you recommend them. I'm in the state of Alabama and about to get my first car. It will not be an 08 or 09, but an 06 or 07 (hopefully). I'm have poor credit, but flawless driving record. I'm 22 and female.
Also, can I get insurance the same day? Or does it have to begin so many days later?

you might call and get a quote from Progressive,Allstate,State Farm and Nationwide.i would stay away from Geico and AIG.also Hartford is good.they all give quotes.being under the age of 25 y/o and having bad credit it's going to be high any way.you are consider a risk. |

I've been with Geico for years and I'm very happy with them. I insure my truck, my boat and my jet ski (full coverage) through them. There has never been a problem with them and the rates are great.

I live in Alabama.
I use a company based in Texas. They do not run a credit check. They are the cheapest/best coverage I have found.
You need to get insurance the same day. Your agent can fax or email you your policy. |

My company doesn't write in Alabama, so I can't recommend it for you. What you need to do is call several agents/companies and find the best rate, but remember that cheap and good don't always go together. Most agents can bind you right away, and you're covered, but you may not get the ID card until your policy arrives. |
