Who drives without a driving licence????????

I am General Manager of Rowley Auto Services Ltd. We are in the West Mids, UK.

On each day the local traffic lads take about 10 vehicles of people for no licence and no insurance. This is called sec 165a of the road traffic act.

I find that many of them are people who have been in the uk for just over 1 year. You can drive a vehicle in the uk for a period on 1 year from your time of entry. After this you must pass your test in the uk. Most don't bother.

In the last year we have recovered about 3000 cars.

i would also recomend that you report them for this
you can inform the police and they will not involve you any further and wont say it was you.

thanks to ppl that dont have a licence each honest person in the uk pays an average of Â£30 a year extra for this , i know that doesnt seem a lot but if u add it all together over the millions if policies in the uk and think what that money pays for its stupid and we shouldnt have to put up with it really

I DO!! I used to have a license but i was fines thousands of dollars that I cant pay.... but I need to get to work, so i can pay it... its a never ending circle.... No license... no work... because of something stupid i did on a bad night... dont worry.. i didnt hurt anyone.. i didnt drive bad... was just in the wrong place at the worng time.. and i regret driving that night. but i am a good driver... but still have to support me and my family.. so when you ask a question like this...... and people talk **** about things that are out of our hands... let the first person without sin cast the first stone!!!

people who do this really bug me because of them our policys get higher and high each year. if they wanna drive take up racing or something away from our roads so if they kill any1 it will only be themselves. its not fair becase we get pinalised for their supidity. as the same is from drunk drivers. i thik we should put them altogether so they wipe each other out and not us who try out best to do things right and keep our insurance low

complete morons thats who. If they don't have a licence they are putting lives at risk. Personally I think it should be made a greater offence, something like attempted murder or similar. As a pedestrian and a Cyclist I dread think what will happen when one of these morons turn a sharp bend, AND THEY NORMALLY SPEED!

There are some teenagers who love to show off to drive. Because they do not understand the seriousness of the issue.

i have in the past, but only becuse my liscense was suspended long before i ever had it for an unrelated charge... getting it back is going to take alot of time and money...

i got in a wreck, but it wasn't my fault (all i got was a ticket for no liscense and no insurance)

i think i got the point.... i got lucky this time, so i'll not be tempting fate again (well minus my bike and riding around on my neighborhood streets when there's no traffic... no one's complained yet)

if it helps anything i know for a fact i could pass the tests easily and i'm not an irresponsible driver... just got in a bad situation that was/is gonna cost a pretty penny to get out of, and we're barely making it as it is.
