Why does my windows tell me to register, then tell me I'm already registered?

I bought an old desk top off of craigslist to fill in for my in the shop lap top. When I turn it on it gives me the "you must register windows in 6 days" etc message "do you want to register now?" when I click "yes" it tells me its already registered and it works fine. However after the 6 days (it does this every time during) it repeats. Asks if I want to register, I click yes and then it just goes back to the "do you want to register" again. How can I stop this from happening?

Actually friend, I am also facing this kind of trouble in windows Xp! When I face this problem, I will reinstall the operation system, and the problem will solve. I think your computer have the duplicate operating system, And you need to purchase the original operating system! This is only the solution! I know this is not your mistake, so you can call again your seller! |

I don't know why it says that. I never register windows when I get a new computer (mainly because its never connected to the internet right off the bat). |
