Why has my insurance gone up by 145.99!? Now that I hold a Full license?

I have recently passed my driving test and so wish to change my insurance policy from 'Learner' to 'full Uk license'. I just got quoted 145.99 just to change this. I can't belivev they think leaners are safer on the road than someone that has actually passed their test! Anyone have an idea?

It probably went up because when you have a learners permit you have an experienced driver with you.
When you get a real license you are alone and may make big mistakes. |

I don't know why they go up some much when you get the hard copy license, but my son is 16 years old and we had him added to our insurance along with his car, now we pay $200 dollars more a month just for he & his car , It's crazy . |
