Unfortunatly your observances goes against all the statistics.
Women tend to be overall safer drivers and less likely to cause accidents. Does that mean that all women are great drivers? Heck no. Just when you add up all the accidents do you see the number difference.
I do see a lot of female bad drivers but i do have to say I see a LOT of eratic aggresive driving by males. Not to say women don't. About 90% of the people who tailgate me when I drive 5 miles over the speed limit while in the SLOW lane, are male drivers.
Maybe it is the testosterone?

Because discrimination is allowed for politically correct entitiies such as women and people of certain colors.
For example, if insurance companies wanted to provide lower rates for white males between 55 and 69 (the safest group of all), they would be sued for discrimination. |

As much as you may see a careless or reckless female driver, the insurance companies calculate their risk based on actual claims statistics. You may think you see a bunch of bad female drivers, but the numbers point to the fact that young male drivers actually cost insurance companies in claims and therefore a higher risk. Either your assessment of the bad female drivers is wrong, or they are luckier than the guys and don't get into as many accidents. |

Insurance companies employ some really smart people who have data to back up the fact that statistically young males have more accidents. It doesn't get much simpler than that. You may notice a reckless female driving down the road, but the young males are the ones having accidents. |

What are you talking about girls being reckless drivers?...I see guys in these kind of stunts all the time...Who knows, maybe this is the cause of the price difference...

It's because they have a lower accident risk than male drivers of a similar age.
In 37 years of driving, I've observed that if someone on the road was taking dangerous risks it most often a young male driver. |
