Why would someone be taking pictures of my car and workplace?

My boyfriend was at work (he works at a bank) and they noticed some woman taking pictures of the bank and what seemed like his car and the bank in the same picture. She then tried the get pictures of his license plate but he doesn't have any in the front so she drove to the road turned her hazard lights on and took pictures of his license plates in the back. He was going to go out there but his manager told him not to for security reasons. What could this be? I was thinking maybe for insurance purposes. She was taking pictures with her camera phone. He just recently bought a house and is now getting a small car loan. Could this have anything to do with it?

He said he hadn't cut anyone off or anything and I know he would have told me if he had. His dad was in a divorce thats now over and he did go to court with his mom which he won. I thought it was very weird especially since she used a camera phone. If she was just trying to get his plate its a personalized one that would be easily remembered. Thanks for the responses.

There are weirdos everywhere. If he didn't do anything wrong, no problem.

Make sure you write everything down. What time you left the house and who saw you. What route you took to work, how much time it took, and where you stopped and for how long on the way (5 minutes at the fast food for breakfast). If you still have it, save the receipt. Then write down what time you arrived at work or have time clock records to back you up. Have anyone else also write down an account of when you left and when you arrived at work. If there are issues in the future, these may help you to show she was looking at the wrong person for some reason.

If he cut someone off, cussed them out, flipped them the bird, speeding, ran a red light, or was in anyway an "agressive driver", maybe he is being reported. Many areas allow you to report agressive drivers to your State Police.

This does not mean that just because you receive a report, someone takes your license away. But, if patterns develope, it might lead to an investigation...."Mr Smith....5 different people in the last 2 weeks have reported this issue....can we ask you a few questions?".

It even could be a case of mistaken identity, and she confused your car with someone else's.

either she's a stalker or she's working as a private investigator. I'd call the police and file a complaint. there's no reason that she should have been taking pictures without his permission.

No telling, but taking pictures of things in public places is not against any laws. Frankly I would have walked out and asked.

Sounds like intelligence gathering for something - even a hold up on the bank.

Is he a keyholder there? if he is - he should inform his bank as a security matter. It would be quite easy to follow him and set up a hostage situation.

Make sure the house and vehicle are swept for bugs/ trackers. This may be something bigger. A one-off fee to another security firm should check this for you.

Has he or the bank manager reported the incident to the police because it could be innocent, like the loan company wanting to see where he works at, or it could be a set up for criminal action. Has he been involved in any legal action, like custody battle or lawsuit? The woman could be an investigator checking out his workplace. He needs to check with the loan companies & insurance to be on the safe side.

It's up to him what to do.

If I was in his shoes, I would inform the security officer for the bank that I witnessed someone acting like they were planning a bank robbery & my boss told me to take no action.

That way, if the bank gets robbed, the security officer will know to ask witnesses to the woman's actions, and brief the boss on apprpriate action to take the next time they see suspicious behavior.

sounds like he has a potential stalker. other than that i dont know maybe the feds are after him.
