Sorry, that's a mechanical malfunction which is excluded in your policy. Even if you would have had an accident and they determined the cause of the accident was the engine failure, they could deduct the engine portion from your settlement. With all that said if you would of or could have purchased engine breakdown coverage, it would have been a different story.

While this type of coverage is available out there, if you haven't opted for it (or for a company which could have offered it) you are, unfortunately, on your own for this type of expense.

Check your policy, but most likely you will find you are not covered for it.

I dont think they wud even replace it if you were in an accident unless it was so bad that the engine was damaged and if it was your car would probably be written off....
