Hi,
It depends on firstly the police have evidence of the sppeding, camera or video, with out this they will find it hard espicially if you had some one in the car with you.
If you had a genuine emergency this could help with mitigatory reasons.
If you seriously want to fight this get a good solicitor, let me know where you are and I will recomend some to you.The courts recomend a Band B fine and between 6 points and disqualifying you.
If the road conditions were bad you have no chance but good luck, let me know how you get on.
Hope this link helps

Yes, I am afraid you will. I went to court the other week for my defense and the fact that you were doing double the limit means that you will get your license suspended, big fine (+ court fees) and driving school...
sorry for the bad news but rather be prepared that not know this before |

More than likely you will get points and a big fine.Depends on the judge though sometimes. |

i dont think you will...i think you will get 6 points...now you have been on the road for 3 years you have 12 point limit....
You will probably get a fine to and or possibly referal to a training school...go to court...kiss up to them and you should be ok...just learn your lesson n get on with it |

6 points and a fine--take it easy---keep your eyes in your morrors!!!!and every time you see spotty faced copper racing around killing folk-and making cheap TV progs -REPORT them we all have a duty of care--even the police --beleive it or not!!! |

30mph over ANY posted limit is a court summons.
If you plead your case as 'extreme hardship' ie. you NEED your care to be able to work & have a home you may 'just' get enough points to take you to 11 and a big fine.
Honestly though...bit silly speeding in a 30 zone....
And 100mph is NOT an instant ban - there's not such thing. A customer of mine was caught doing 114mph...10 points and a £1500 fine after pleading 'hardship'.
What is does mean is a DEFINATE court summons. |

3 points and a fine you wont get banned
now if you go over 100mph then thats a instant ban |
|

?
|
its possible you could be banned or but you would certainly get a heavy penalty, with points as you were doing twice the speed limit, . If you rely on driving for your job you could put that forward at the court. If someone does 100mph then thats an automatic ban. If you are a new driver who passed less than two years ago then you would loose your licence if you have aquired 6 points rather than the usual 12 for the normal driver. and have to do the theory test and practical driving test again as newly qualified drivers |
