Unless you have a law in your state stating minors cannot get caught speeding, (HIGHLY unlikely) you will just have to pay the citation, and receive demerit points against your license. If you get too many points, the DMV may take your license, and you insurance will sky rocket. |

no one can tell you. we don't know the states laws. here in pa, if you are caught going 26+ over, you WILL lose your liscense, regardless of your age. |

Maybe, it depends on what state you live in. States have different penalties for speeding. For example, in my state, North Carolina, 15 mph over the speed limit will get your license revoked - it doesn't; matter how old you are. |

Reckless driving is a very serious infraction. If it is mandatory that you appear in court to settle the citation, that decision will be left to the court & if you piss off the judge, you could very well lose them until up to age 21. It all depends on what state you live in & whether or not a court appearance is mandatory. If you can go to a cashier's cage, plead guilty & pay a fine, then you will most likely face a very stiff fine, points on your license & your insurance, or if you are an added driver to your parents insurance, premiums will be as high as the clouds for a few years |

You'll probably keep your license, but when your insuance company sees the ticket on your record (and they will), they may not like it. Slow down! |
