i caem round a corner a little quick and a police carf was around the corner, they turned around and pulled me over. They took my details and looked at my license. the officer then gave me my licen back and didnt say if i had recived a caution or was going to get points on my license. i was wondering weather i would get any points on my licence through the post or if i did recive a caution/warning.(UK)

They would have given you a ticket there and then or they would have advised that you were going to be considered for prosecution. If the latter then you may get something through the post later.
If neither happened then they were just checking you out and you got away with it.

If they did not warn you that you might get a summons then you won't.
It has to be sent to you within 28 days anyway. |

Well if they gave you points they would tell you at the time, They normally write a ticket out and get you 2 sign it. And you have to £60 fine. They just gave you warning from the sounds of it. |

hiya, you got away with it this time, but next time you are speeding,and going round a corner, a little child could be very near to the edge of the path, and she would not stand a chance, you would most likely kill her.so let this incidence, with the police, be a warning for you. |

If they did not use words like "I am reporting you for consideration of prosecution....." then at the moment then you may be OK.
They still have 6 months to issue a ntice of intended prosecution by post though. |
