Will it matter that I sent off the V5 registration document for my new moped a month late?

There was a bit of confusion, as though the tear-off slip at the bottom of the V5 registration document was filled-in and sent off when I bought the thing about a month back, I didn't notice until today that I had to fill in the rest of this document and send it off to the DVLA for the new V5c registration document to come in my name.
Will it matter that the form from the previous owner and the form from the new keeper (me) will be received by the DVLA so long apart? I'm a little worried now...
Also, will the fact that it's an old V5-type document (dated 1991) matter?

1991? There have been a couple of changes to the registration document since then (last change was in 2005 when the old logbooks became invalid at the end of June 05). Nowadays it's only the old owner (registered keeper) that has to notify the DVLA. I would contact the DVLA ASAP as the V5 you are referring to is no longer valid. I do hope you haven't been scammed by the seller! |

Although it is technically an offence, nothing ever comes of failing to notify keeper changes unless something dire has happened, don't worry about it. |
