I rolled my 2004 BMW 325i yesterday and thankfully am okay but was wondering if it will be totaled by the insurance company. The car held up surprisingly well. The roof will need to be replaced, at least half of it, there are various dents which can probably be easily fixed on the hood and passenger side, the front windshield and driver's side rear windows busted, the gas tank cover is missing, the passenger side mirror busted off, and it seems as though there was a bit of damage done to the front bumper and some of the underworkings of the car as the tow truck pulled it out of the ditch. I asked the officer what he thought and said that "9 times out of 10 in a rollover they total the car". I'm hoping that it IS totaled as the diminished value of the car is probably going to be substantial not to mention the difficulty of selling a car that was in a roll-over.

When the cost to repair is about 70% (or more) of the cars "fair market value" it will be "totaled" |

It'll almost certainly total. There is likely frame damage and everything on the car is probably shifted to some degree. I assume the engine was running when this happened, so there'll probably be some engine damage as well, the oil doesn't flow correctly when the car is upside down! You'll be offered Actual Cash Value, less deductible. Hope that you aren't "upside down" on this one in more ways than one! |

Roll over is serious damage. Probably will total. Look at it this way, now you can buy a Chevy. |

yes sorry totaled is what will happen the repairs will cost more than the car is worth I hope you had Gap Ins it will pay the remainder off on your car loan if you don't have it now I hope you get it next time. Good luck!! |
