it may possiblie but depends if you have your own insurance,

some insurance companies view it plain and simple that your are qualified driver so safer.

others view it that you no longer have an experienced driver with you so you pose more of a risk.

insurance companys are weird, we just changed our car from a £700 jeep to a £14,660 brand new car and saved £2 a month on our premiums.

Hi yes my brother is doing his test and it doesnt go down till after the year hes passed beacause when he has passed his test he will be driving alone with no one in the care with him that has passed their test for years. So he is more likley to cause problems and accidents, because he is on his own without help.

Mine didn't change. But i was insured under my dad's name.

For the first two years after you have passed your test , car insurance is very expensive as you are new to the roads and on a 'probationary' period. It starts to get gradually cheaper after that.

No, why should it? But, do you have a car without having passed your driving test?

As you are no longer supervised SOME companies put it UP!!

Quite probably because you are the a greater risk as presumably you will be on the road ( and then not supervised in case of a problem) a lot more than when you were learning so although in one sense you are 'more qualified' you are also a greater risk

Your insurance should come down as you are now a qualified driver If it doesn't come down on your renewal date then you need to shop around for cheaper insurance.
