Will my insurance increase from someone elses tickets?

My friend got some tickets while driving my car. I didnt get charged with anything, but now hes asking for a copy of my insurance to pay for his tickets. Will my insurance go up if i give it to him??

So im safe t o give it to him then . he said he needed it to help pay for the ticket?? maybe cheaper??

It might be to prove that the car had insurance while he was driving it...

Why does he need a copy of your insurance? The tickets only affect your insurance rates if the violations appear ON YOUR RECORD. He was driving, therefore these violations will appear ON HIS RECORD.

The law requires proof of insurance, Even though your friend received a ticket on your car. Your insurance will go up because of the fact you gave permission to him to drive it.

That sounds a bit fishy. He could be trying to get it claimed from your insurance. If that happens, your insurance premium likely goes up as a claim has been made on it.

To be safe, go with him so that you can give the correct story if required.
