I have a OH drivers license and i got a ticket with three points while speeding in North Carolina. Will the points be carried to my OH Dl and will my nsurance be affected because of this ? If yes how do I waive my points so that it does not affect my insurance.

Points on your license, is points on your license. It doesn't matter if you're out of state, or not.
You don't get to waive your points. Why would you? You were speeding, you get points.
And yes, it will affect your insurance. |

Of course. The points are against your license, regardless of what state they were collected in. If your insurance see those points as raising your risk factor, they can, when renewal time comes, raise your premium. As far as "waiving" points, it's a bit late now. You could have asked for driver's training in court to keep the points off your license. I assume you just paid the fine. It will not affect your rates if you go 3 years without another ticket. |
