confused.com I think it is as well to remember that you do not know how good your insurance is until you make a claim. As a rule the cheaper ones will take a harder line on claims |

I am currently in the process of renewing my car insurance and also my wife's car insurance.
To be honest, I have found that the comparison websites really do get the best deals for you. I use
GoCompare.com
CompareTheMarket.com
Confused.com
Any of these will do it all for you, and you should definitely see a benefit. |

After using others in the past I switched to Direct Line and they are great! My 1.4litre car costs about £400 a year, covers myself and my partner, is fully comp and has guaranteed hire car.
The call centre is in the UK, we've had 2 claims (others driving in to us when we were stationary), and both were handled with minimum fuss and went very smoothly.
They actually take full notes of your claim and give you a dedicated contact so you don't have to keep repeating yourself if you have to phone them back about something.
On the 2 claims we had, my car had to be collected for repair and this was done with minimum fuss, we were kept posted of the repair progress and re-delivery of my car *and* we were collected from our home and driven to Enterprise car hire to collect our free hire car (and when our car was repaired and returned, Enterprise came back out to us to collect the hire car).
A top 4star company as far as I'm concerned! |

I'm with Ladybird14.
We've used Liverpool Victoria for many years to insure 2 cars and our home/contents.
Good prices and we get 5% off each for having multiple accounts with them. |
