Would I get in trouble If i buy a real drivers license from my friend he works at a DMV?

I defiantly would suggest against this since if you were ever to get pulled over the license would be run against a computer database and be immediately recognized as a fake. In many places using reproduced government identification are quite severe. I have linked the law from Michigan as an example:

"A person who sold, or who possessed with the intent to deliver to another, a reproduced, altered, counterfeited, forged, or duplicated license photograph, negative of the photograph, image, license, or electronic data contained on a license or part of a license would be guilty of a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than five years or a fine of not more than $10,000, or both.

A person who possessed a reproduced, altered, counterfeited, forged, or duplicated license photograph, negative of the photograph, image, license, or electronic data contained on a license or part of a license would be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than one year or a fine of not more than $2,000, or both."

So in your case using the ID would bring a misdemeanor offense which would show up on any background check and need to be explained on job applications. Worse yet if traced back to your friend it would be considered a felony, which in case you don't know bars you from voting for a number of years and makes getting a government job, as well as many others impossible. The fines are increased for either party if the ID is used in other crimes such as buying alcohol illegally.

Obviously you think that where you are is the only place that matters because in many states, mine included, it is a DMV, and if you asked where the BMV was people would look at you like you ride the short bus.

And in reponse to the question about buying a license, you are probably too young to know about it, but look up the license for bribe scandal that occured in Illinois. There are currently all sorts of people locked up over doing the exact same thing, up to and including top local government officials.

good heavens, that is very serious trouble! sorry but your friend is leading you down the garden path and he's heading for really serious trouble himself. That's criminal, not just dumb.

uh most likely because u have to take all the tests if u r 16 thats y i'm not gettin mine til my bday this yr cus it's way cheaper that way for now i jus drive w/ my momma r my bro who's 21:)

First off, its a BMV. And yes, you would get in trouble if caught, because it wouldnt be registered properly.

YES! Take the driving test and go to a good driving school. Your "friend" is trying to set you up.
