You won't get in trouble, but you and your friend definitely should be thinking about the worst case scenario. Accidents happen. My last accident occurred when a 16 year old girl tried to avoid a car by going straight into oncoming traffic. That was me. Her car was filled with friends. When the police arrived, they tried to say that her friends were just waiting for her at that corner. Eventually, the truth came out, and they were caught in a lie. It wasn't good. The accident and the passengers probably didn't help the girl's insurance and record at all either.
If you want to risk it, I could always ditch your friend, run away from the accident if you can, and hope that you won't be needed as a witness. |
