im gettin an accord nd i wanna add performance to it bc i aint a ricer nd ma dad doesnt want me to nd i was wondering if the insurance company would find out by themselves if yu mod your engine and increase the rate. my insurance company is geico nd my dad pays for it so i dnt want him to be like why is the rate going up nd find out tht i added turbos nd air intakes nd ****

No the insurance company probably wouldn't find out unless you had an accident. They would probably find them when they appraised the damage to the car.
Even then, as long as the modifications didn't cause the accident all that would likely happen is they wouldn't cover the cost of the modifications if you don't request additional coverage for the modifications. |

they do not check parts you buy from a parts store they only get their info from cops like tickets you can add what ever you wish it wil not be covered by insurance if something was to happen to it like you blow it up not covered anyways only if you wreck it or hit something so if you dont report it they dont cover it if it breaks an dan dit was something you added then its not covered |

The insurance company will not check the parts. However, if something does happen, the insurance company will not compensate you for anything you've added to the vehicle. |
