Yes, you'd have to get new plates anyway. Those are just numbres, it's not like satan is hiding in the tail pipe. |

If I wanted the car, I wouldn't let the numbers bother me. Depending on the state that you live, you may get new numbers when you register the car. Even if you can keep the same number, you don't have to. Go to the county clerks office, or the DMV and request another plate.
Don't let something as the license plate number stop you from getting a car that you want.

Sure, why not. The plate doesn't come with the car. However, if it were a 1958 Plymouth Fury named Christine, I would reconsider. |

I would. There are probably other numbers on the plate anyways so it wouldn't mean much. |

The numbers on a license plate are luck of the draw. there is nothing symbolic. In some states, the plate number stays with the car (example: Alaska). There are many good and bad reasons to buy a car. The plate number is not one of them.
Now, if the car is bright red, has flames (real not painted) coming off of it, and teeth instead of a grill, I might rethink that... |
