Y do people get offended as if we're talking politics or religion,when u tell them u don't have car insurance?

I live in Wisconsin, and it is not mandatory, but if other states like New Hampshire & Tennessee, can survive why is it so offensive to some people. I have an account with money, and I don't care to hear the sermons either, the question is simple: what is it to you?

Just because someone doesn't have insurance doesn't mean they are irresponsible! I would gladly take care of my dues, and if someone doesn't have insurance, you can sue them anyways, I can't believe people fall for the brainwashing scams of the insurance industry! It is YOUR money, whether it's health, car, vision, it's all scams. I always get a cheaper price when I pay cash, but when you have insurance, they hike it up, invest your own money. Anyways, I don't really care. It's just a question, and a note to mind your own business.

because you put me at risk. i could care less if you insure yourself, however if i am driving down the road with my kids and you hit me, you should pay for their hospital bills and for the damage you caused them, emotionally and physically as well as the damage to my car. unless you're rich, without insurance you won't be able to do that which means that while you were the irresponsible one, i will have to pick up the pieces.

it is our concern because when you wreck us and you don't have insurance, we end up paying for something you should be paying for. and you have an account with money? so what. more than likely, we would have to take you to court to get you to pay. that seems to be the american way anymore. do harm to another and make them pay to get you to pay. insurance should be mandatory in all the states. driving a car is a privilege, not a right.

The point is that not everybody has the money to be financially responsible in a car accident. If you cause an accident and severely injure someone, you will be paying them for the rest of your life. Auto body repairs are very expensive as well. A small dent can cost thousands of dollars to repair. As a driver and one who has insurance, I want to know that if you or anybody else hits my vehicle, I'm going to be able to get it fixed, and if I'm injured that my medical costs will be paid for.

Let's look at it this way?

Say you drive a $500 Pick Up Truck and I drive a $850,000 Lamborghini and we have an accident..........and the accident is YOUR fault - my Lamborghini is written off and you have $15 worth of damage to your damn precious uninsured Truck.

Who is gonna pay? you? outta your savings? yeah, sure!!

So, we go to Court and I win the case - you now owe me:-

$850,000 for my car......
$100,000 Lawyer Fees....
$25,000 Replacement Car Rental.....
$20,000 Loss of Income to attend Court......
$5,000 incidentals......

$1,000,000 TOTAL (geez, you must be rich?) or do you pay $1 down and $1 per week?

Do me a favour please? Put a sign on your car saying : UNINSURED DRIVER and I'll keep an eye out for you and I'll keep my distance.

It most certainly is the business of anyone who shares the road with you. The notion of driving without insurance offends responsible people as they feel you are not taking responsibility. Most typically the folks who drive uninsured are the folks who have no money anyway.
