car dealer lets me have liability and i wreck it

i went and leased a 1994 toyota t100 truck from a car dealer...and he said i could pass for liability. so i go out and have an accident...am i responsible for the damages being that the MINUMUM he requires is liability insurance on it? mind you the accident was without no one else and hit a wall...this happened in the state of kentucky! someone please help and fast im stuck
