If I let my friend drive my car, and he gets in accident, would my insurance cover him?
I quite don't understand my insurance policy even I read it.
If he is not insured, then how do I change it?

Generally, yes.
If a person has your permission to drive your car and is not specifically excluded from the policy and not engaged in an excluded activity (e.g., drag racing, or in the case of a personal policy, business activities like deliveries), then your policy would cover them just as it would you. |

Different companies have different rules. Call your agent before you lend the car. Be sure he has a valid license. |

It would up to the limits of your policy. In most of Canada the minimum liability coverage is $200,000 which sounds like a lot but if he has a serious accident the bills could be several times that amount. You will be sued for the rest. |
