i don't get how women pay less for their insurance than men (around 18-30 years old) when i looked at the crash record average for the united states of american women have a higher crash rate than men (way higher look it up im not lying) seriously did a feminist set the insurance rate for men. im kinda pissed because i have to pay way higher than my cousin who has already gotten into 3 recks and i have an outstanding driving record with no recks or accidents (disregard the name imapeppergirl this is my moms yahoo account)

Yes, women have more accidents. But they tend to be the small, fender bender types.
The men tend to have the spectacular, massive total losses with multiple vehicles involved.
With claims, it's only partially based on the NUMBER of losses. The DOLLAR amount of the claims, is actually more important.
And if you lump 1000 men in one group, and 1000 women in the other group, the mens' claims, in dollars, will add up to about twice as much as the womens'.
If it makes you feel better, some states do NOT allow for gender to be used in rate calculations. |
