it was my fault i was sitting behind someone at a roundabout and was looking right and didn't realise the car in front hadn't moved and i bumped into the back of it. there was no damage to my car and the girl said that i had dented hers which i'm pretty sure was already there.... anyway i thought i'd keep myself right and phone my insurance company to let them know i had an accident and explained everything i received a letter from my insurance company telling me what to do if she makes a claim. my question is if she does NOT make a claim will my insurance and no claims stay the same?

Nothing will happen if she doesn't make a claim; all you did was notify your insurers what had happened, unless you actually make a claim you shouldn't be penalised. Hopefully the other driver won't go to the bother of claiming for a minor bump but if she does just let your insurance deal with it; they will tell you if any changes are due when your insurance comes up for renewal. |
