i hit a parked car and drove off, now i got a call about it?

okay so 2 weeks ago i hit a parked car in the middle of the road. i got out of my vehicle, checked to see if there were any damages, and they weren't THAT bad, so I just drove off. now 2 weeks later the police called me and said that they have an anonymous complaint for a hit and run on that street.

what should i do so that i dont get in trouble for this? how do i get out of this situation without confessing?!?!

i dont have any money so i cannot confess to the crime! and i certainly do not want to go to jail

this is the part where you realize, you are not the hip slick and cool smooth operator, you stand up and act like an adult, you take what is coming, like an adult, the cops got you, its a matter of time so go down, YOU ARE NOT GETTING THE PICTURE THERE WAS A WITNESS GET IT??? do the right thing, since you did not do it then, you need to do it now, so go to the owner and give up the insurance info, wait until the cops arrest you is not very smart is it? you dont need a lawyer, yet, and you are not getting out of this.

You are liable to repair the car you hit, you will have to pay to repair your car, if you want it repaired and you are also guilty of hit and run. Instead of spending time trying to find a way to avoid your responsibilities, I suggest you spend some time trying to find a way to face them. I hope they throw the book at you

Should have stayed.
That's a hit and run.
against the law.
No one you can blame but yourself.

If you don't show up or confess, you'll just get in more trouble.

It sounds like hit and run to me. It also sounds like there was at least one witness that can testify against you. Turn yourself in, you are only going to dig a deeper hole by stalling.

LOL, you already got caught. Now you gotta pay! You have just discovered that you are not special, and you are bound by the same rules and laws as everyone else. Whether or not you 'confess' someone obviously got your plates and turned you in. The cops already know it's you.
Call your insurance company (if you aren't too special to drive uninsured) and make a claim.

Say you hit a car,left a not with your info on it & no one ever called.

Better to fess up than to get caught for a hit and run.
