I just got in an accident (police report states it wasn't my fault) and i hit the back end of car because of another car (don't trying asking me all these nosey questions about how, when where and what..............all i want to know if since i only have liabilty and my car is not working it's pretty much no good for me to have insurance anymore since i wont have a car for a while, what happens if i cancel my auto insurance???? does anyone know in general or is every insurance diffrent on what i sign or have?

Only one problem -when you go back to get insurance, if you haven't had any, it will be more expensive. If it's going to be more than 30 days until you reinstate, I would call your insurance company and see if there is an inexpensive way to keep an active policy while you arrange for a new vehicle. |

Just cancel. Nothing will happen and you are still covered for the accident since you had insurance at the time. You can buy insurance when you get a car. If you drive another car, make sure the owner had libility insurance. |

You should have no problem canceling your policy. You would still be covered for the accident by virtue of your policy being in place on the date of the loss. |
