14 y/o niece being threatened by Juniors in HS?

14 y/o niece being threatened by Juniors in HS?

I have a 14 year old niece who is a freshman in highschool, who dated Bob, a 17 year old junior who is a wrestler.

There was all this unnecessary drama with them, which ended up with Bob's friends yelling mean things to my niece whenever she'd walk by. It quickly led to Myspace, and one of Bob's friends, Tim started to threaten her. These are a few things that he said, word for word:

"i'll fxck that beaners life up any day. [the guy my niece is now talking to] so hard he won't be able to breathe, talk, open his eyes. without sheer pain going through his entire body not even the strongest pain killer can stop. i don't know what you were thinking to mess wiht my homie like that. but you must have been high.

c*nt.

do the world a favor, grab a rope, tie it to a tree, put yours and that beaners head in a nuece and jump off of it. you will save the world from scum like both of you"

Others include girls telling her to watch her back, watch who you mess with, etc.

So my question is how can I bring this to the fullest extent of the law? How would I go about it, and IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE? These boys have threatened to hurt her in the past and because they are wrestlers, they claimed that they can "make it fun". I unfortunately don't have documentation of that, but I do of the recent harassments.

I think this is wrong to say to just a little girl no matter WHAT! All Bob is pissed about is that she kissed another boy when they were on a break. [ridiculous highschool relationships, I KNOW!]

I don't know whether to take this to the principal or not. I want these boys suspended or WHATEVER it takes.

First, her parents have to be told as she is a minor. They should be the ones to notify the school and the school board that she is the victim of bullying and online bullying. Copies of all the online stuff (myspace, facebook, etc.) should be made for evidence (including printing it out) and then the online groups should be notified about the threats and bullying. Also, her parents should contact the police (they have to do all of this for her as she is a minor) and ask about charges be pressed for harassment and/or a restraining order.

Good luck! Oh, and if you want to be a nice auntie, pay for some self-defense and/or martial arts classes for your niece!

I know what you are going through, reading your question. I have a son too who is always being bullied in school. Since I am away from my country I wrote one of the guidance counselor there in school about the subject school bully and which pertain to my son. I think everything is fine ever since that. Never heard anything about his problem with other boys.

Your question, can you bring this to the fullest extent of the law? Bring what to the fullest extent of the law? Nothing yet had ever happen to your niece is it after that? So what is it your complaining about? This are just words coming from them it is either threat or complement we will never know until they do something sinister. In the eyes of the law NO HARM NO FOUL is implemented. Even if you over heard about a plot or killing these people are hatching the law cannot touch them. A mere plot is not a crime. Imagine if every one hear that a friend is talking about killing the president of the country he is already arrested and put to jail? Maybe there is something wrong with the law. Example we had a heated argument and I shout in your face I WILL KILL you....next day I will be arrested for it? Arrested for what? On what charge?

No you got no case yet as of now. You got nothing in your hands not even this one cannot stand in court. The judge will just throw this one out in the window. She was threaten yes that is correct in the past. They can claim whatever they want either fun or something. You do not have enough evidence or documentation of that either. They will claim that they NEVER SPOKE OR TOLD HER that. It is your word against them. Remember the burden is in you to prove it otherwise you got no case to begin with. I think all you can just do is file a police report of threat to the police station concerning your niece that if ever something happen to her these are the people responsible for it....blah blah blah...take a written sworn oath or affidavit attesting this with an attorney in the police station. After that yes elevate this one to the principal office and let the principal take it from there. No do not let the principal suspend them this will only aggrevate the matter. They might make their plan in place and take action against your niece. Let you and the principal together with your niece in the principal office and talk to this LOST BOYS and remind them to behave otherwise they will have it. Remind them too that you filed a police report concerning your niece and them that if ever something terrible happen to your niece they will be arrested one by one by the police. Scare them out of their wits they are just teenagers so that they will know what kind of terrible world they are up too. I hope this works for you.

The first thing you need to do is teach your 14-year-old niece not to be dating 17-year-olds. That's just ridiculous, and this is the exact crap it leads to. If he's such an immature 17-year-old as to date a 14-year-old in the first place, then it's inevitable that he'll descend into this exact behavior.

The next thing you need to do is go to both the principal and the cops with the physical evidence of this harassment. This is the kind of thing that can escalate to the point where it either ruins or ends lives, and it can escalate very quickly.
