16 years old and want to become a police officer in london?

im currently in college studying BTEC Business and i am thinking about going into the police

i havent applied or spoke to any official people about this

but i was thinking how would i go about doing this

i live in london

do you have any tips of how i could get into the police in london

you have to be 18 to become a police officer in the UK.

When the police intorduced the role of PCSO back in 2002 i think the minimum age for this was 16 but i think that they have increased this now.

The best thing to do would be to contact you local police force and ask them specifcally or visit their local websites. The police do not hire all the way through the year, they have periods of recruitment. As you are still only 16 then I would recommend that you start building your CV up so that by the time you come to apply in a few years time it will stand you in good stead.
