I know he was charged with burglary and has to pay fines, I am wondering what the maximum sentence could be?

Diana-he got fines and public service of 60 hours, I know how to research MY state laws but I haven't found anything viable on UK laws on line.

Pay fines for burglary? I'm a NYC prosecutor, and I know you don't get fines for burglary.
First off, to find maximum sentences for an offense, you can go to your public library and crack open your library's copy of your state's law.
The actual sentence would vary depending on your record, the specific facts of the case and your record of compliance while awaiting sentence or trial. |

In the UK they will slap him on his wrist, not too hard because the human rights brigade will be up in arms. Then they will give him a few hours community service, which of course he won`t do. That's about it. Maybe after his 20th burglary and after murdering the occupant, we the public might get lucky and he could be put away for life, which in this country means a few years at the most. |

I dont think he would get a sentence and if he did prob about 10days as you get 3-4yrs for murder in this country! justice is awful here |
