Instead of guessing, go right to the source. Start making some phone calls. Your answer lies with your future employer. Good luck. |

It's been over 7 years, I would think you're in the clear. There's one way to find out; give it a shot. The worst thing they can say is 'no'. |

Hell our president Bush is president and has two DUI's, so it looks like you should be fine in any position, if you can run the country with two DUI's, you should be able to get any other job in government with two DUI's. |

My recommendation is you seek employment at a city level first as it would be easier for you.
The red flag is up regarding 2 DUI's and you have a ways to go before you can erase them in anyones mind, happens.
If your employed at a city level for five or more years and you have had no problems since, regarding alcohol, you may have a chance at landing a federal job, and this would also depend on your education and work specialty.
You background is about what you out in it, 2 DUI's are a turd in a punch bowl so clean it up by putting alot of good stuff back there that can be verified, Educate. |

Slim to none depending on if you were convicted of a felony or a misdemnr for the DUI's. |

Depends on what job with what branch. A custodian at GSA shouldn't have a problem but a high level security job may be different. |

I really hate to tell you this but not good.
my buddy had 2 DUI's and it took forever for him just to get into the Military, and he aslo couldn't get any job with a police force since he was a Criminal Justice or law enforcement major (one of the two)
It doesn't hurt to still try though. |

2 felony convictions? Not good. Especially with a charge like DUI. They may assume they are dealing with someone with an addiction that could compromise their agency. Also, getting popped for the same thing twice shows lack of self control and an inability to learn from mistakes. |

well i retired from the federal government, the one thing to remember when you try is be honest very honest, one thing is you cant hide nothing from them.every one that is hired with the fed, gov, within the first 6 months the F,B,I,checks your records, and when they get there case together, they call for a meeting with you, they will know every thing you ever did.and you have to explain every case to them.just be honest tell just the truth and don't add nothing.they will hire you with a record.but if you lie you don't have a chance,i worked with people that had done prison time.but they didn't try to hide it.just remember you cant hide nothing from the fed, gov, its a great job. |

If you are otherwise qualified for the position you are applying for and you only worry about your DUI convictions, you still have a chance to get the job as long as you will be honest when asked if you had prior convictions. |

Depends on whether or not you plan to drive a vehicle for the government. |

Your chances would be better if you get the matters expunged. This is a limited erasure of the convictions which basically explains that you took care of the matter, paid your dues, and they should not be considered any more. |
