If police officers come to your house to search it with a warrant, and they tell you that you have to leave, can they do that?? and also can they tell you that after they are done conducting the search, that you are not allowed to stay in the house for a period of time. and also if they are wrong in doing this then how do we report them. and also what can we do about getting a copy of the search warrant, is it public information. and also additional help or advise about anything related to this would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

Yes. And if you saw this happen, then I think it's pretty obvious they can do that.

I've never heard of that and can't imagine why you would be told that.

Depends on the point you're trying to make. You can file a complaint with their employer or you can consult with legal counsel.

Normally, yes. It would help to know what state or country you're in, but I'm sticking with yes. The warrant and affidavit may be sealed, though, in which case a motion would have to be filed in court to unseal it.

Well, start by being a little more specific in what you want to know. You're asking for a semester's worth of legal education here when you ask this way. |

You should have been provided with a copy when the officers came to search. What the Police are searching for and any other instructions are on the warrant. Usually when they are done, they are done and there are no restrictions after that unless they are listed on the warrant. |
