Believing you know who is responsible and proving it are two completely different things.

Questions I would ask are what makes you think it is the local kids? Are there any witnesses or other evidence that points to them? How old are they?

Obviously the police could speak to them in front of their parents but without any evidence or admission the police would be struggling to take it further.

Whatever all you upstanding citizens. Go scratch their cars, if they can dish out, they can take it. I had some kids bullying my daughter at school. Talked to the cops, they told me to hire another kid to take them out back and kick their ***. So I did! A huge dose of their own medicine.

If no one has witnessed the incident then they will just recored a crime and issue you with a crime number despite your suspicions.

If it is an ongoing problem and you feel unable to contact their parents you need to contact your local neighbbourhood policing team to inform them of the anti social behaviour with the youths.

All the police can do is increase presence and carry out surveillance without an admission of guilt, but you do have to call the police if you wish to claim off your insurance, as you will need a crime number.

If you call the police they are most likely to question the kids on who has done it, as they will most probably own up to the Police

late at night, wear ski masks. brick the windows of the feral wee mini-thugs homes. petrol through the letter boxes (NO FLAMES! just enough to scare their families witless) a concerted program of persecution against the families of these vermin til they pay for all damages & get their blight rabid wee litters under control. as far as i'm concerned, such sub-human filth are the strongest argument for abortion i have ever seen. bring back the gas chambers for this kind of plague.

The police have their hands tied. They cant help as they're in the office playing 5 card brag.
Instead find out where the kids live and damage their parents property. Eventually when all parents property has been damaged you'll have exacted democratic revenge.
To the parents who 's kids were blame free, it's unfortunate but its collateral damage.

I would report it to the Police, perhaps they can have a word with the local kids if nothing else.

I think you should set up some security cameras and start a neighbourhood watch scheme so that you can collect evidence that you can give to the police wheras if you were to go straight to the police they probably wouldn't do much to sort the problem out.

If you have a good idea who the kids are and where they live I suggest you contact the Police. Hopefully they will investigate and the presence of Police on there doorsteps may put them off doing it regularly

To be blunt... Nothing - Contacting your local police force can help address the issue - increased patrols and visability of your local neighbourhood team can help to reduce anti social behavior and crime. You will also complete a crime report which will allow you to get the criminal damage repair under your insurance (if your covered for it).

By not reporting anything - the situation will not get better.

Talk to the parents of the kids - if you feel safe doing it - tell them you are going to report it to the police as vandalism. Then do just that. Give the cops a call tell them who you suspect and why and then leave it to them. At the worst it will probably stop anymore incidents - at best someone may own up. In which case the parents will get the bill!

Only one thing to do, talk to the parents and get them all punished until one owns up.
If the parents are unruly, get a nice big dog to scare them =]
