My fiancé is a police officer and I feel I have to defend him.
There are many police officers in the UK who come up against very violent people. For example, today my fiancé was in a hospital in London after a man had knocked over two female PC's whilst driving. Whilst my partner was at the hospital with them, a man pulled a knife on a doctor. My fiancé (and his colleagues) drew their Asp's (police batons) and used them to stop this nutter from trying to stab the doctor.
I should point out that in the UK, police officers have to write a report every time they draw their Asp's to prevent misuse. So, they have to use them with great caution and justification.
I can sense you have a hostility of police. However, they risk their lives on a daily basis and I respect them. I often fear for my partner's life. |

Because we hit when it is necessarry to protect ourselves or others. We also are mandated to increase force to end any attack on ourselves or others.
We get cross when chuckleheads strike back because thay have just broken another law and against ourselves. So you can bet that it is about to go to another level.
So to answer your last question: Oh yeah, we can take it, but YOU are gonna take a lot more. |

Usually we don't strike the first blow.
It is a better alternative than shooting a violent, combative suspect.

Police in the US carry more than just batons/ASP/CSB. They carry Taser's as well. We are all trained to use force, equal or greater than the force used on us and to get the job done. If you dont like it, dont swing at the police.

cuz they are insecure with there "manhood" lol, so they make themselve's feel better by beating on the innocent that they are jealous of.
actually its only the bad cops who abuse their power as a cop, some cops are actually doing their job (as hard as it is to believe) by protecting the innocent from the murderer's (who are christian by the way)!!!
but the cops who abuse the power given to them belong in prison with the people they unjustly put there!!! |
