Of course it can go 100 mph. Prius is a great car with 2 different motors! It's the best car on the road right now.

I use to own a Prius... and they are a little scarry at 100 mph... the front wheels start lifting up off the ground and you loose your traction. I totaled it when I slammed head first into the side of the semi. I was nearly decapitated... all save a little bar sticking out of the bottom of the trailer that grabbed hold the side of the car and wouldnt let it slide under. I wasnt going 100 then, but they do in fact go 100 mph... 105 even!

Actuall I just checked on the internet a bit ago,and according to the info I found the set speed limit for a Prius from the factory is 97 mph. So it's very possibvle he was doing close to 100 mph. And by removing and restrictions put on at factory the Toyota Prius set its top speed at 130 mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats. So I guess he may have been doing exactly what they said since many people override factory settings,after all my Mustang wouldn't do more than 126 out of the factory due to how they set up the system at the factory, but that's no longer the case,it's rather easy to have settings in cars computer controls reset.

a prius going 100 mph does sound like an oxymoron.maybe the marijuana fumes have the same effect on hybrid engines that nitrous oxide has on regular engines.
