Once upon a time... people with mental issues were sent to mental hospitals and KEPT there !! Now they roam the streets and skip their meds.

Also... the courts don't execute gun-runners, murderers, and drug-dealers.

Sadly we have laws on the BOOKS... but they aren't enforced, and most of the "gun-laws" are useless anyway.

Been happening for decades, just that now the media is making a bigger deal of it to get people like you hyped up . Then when the govt starts seizing guns you can be a cheerleader, meanwhile another rite has been taken away, and you don't even know it

Two people being shot hardly qualifies as a "mass" shooting. We really have no more going on now than we've ever had, probably less if you adjust for the growing population.

People that are doing these shootings have had a hard life... bullied... major family issues... or major hatred towards a certain group or person. They havent got the help and support they need to think normally. To them its the only way out or to make themselves feel better.

It happens all the time. Domestic crime, and public shooting sprees, occur because of the ready availability of guns. Any nut can get a gun, and any witless coward can terminate their enemy with one. that simple.

Because our gun control is awful. No one needs weapons to easily kill a large group of people.
And last time I checked assault rifles were not used to hunt deer.

We do NOT have strict gun control laws in this country. The NRA is very powerful, and these gun nuts pay good money to be sure the laws never get too tough.
Before you lunatics start quoting the Second Amendment at me, be sure you quote the entire amendment, including the part about a "well-regulated militia."
The Founding Fathers did not intend for citizens to be armed to the teeth. You need to protect yourselves? Who protects the rest of us from the crazy people with guns?
Other industrialized nations have much tougher gun laws, and, guess what? They have far less gun violence. So, either Americans are simply more violent by nature, or strict gun control laws actually work.
Edit: Robot, read the news. Who are the "two people" you're talking about? 13 people were killed in Binghamton, NY. Some father shot five of his kids and then himself. Three police officers in California were gunned down. And this is within the last few days. Wake up.
Edit: Gary, with all due respect, you're an idiot. The media are not making these things up; they're covering the news. I'm sure you'd rather they didn't mention that Americans are dropping like flies at the hands of insane gunmen, but that's the truth. I realize that the right wingers are not big fans of the truth, but you'll have to get used to it.
