Another killed by a Police Car in UK ?

The "police" have killed over 270 people on U.K. roads in the past 5 years! For the most part the "police" drivers are little more than legalised boy racers who know that they cannot be brought to book! They are beyond the law and out of control!

There has been very little information published yet about what happened. I know the road well - it's a dual carriageway with a 40mph speed limit on it. We know it was a marked police car but we have no idea if it had its siren on or if it was speeding! It was certainly responding to a call-out. There is no excuse for dangerous or reckless driving but perhaps it would be a good idea to wait until we know all the facts?

I am no lover of the police. but how about we also hold to account the mindless pieces of ****!! that caused the police to be called out in the first place?

I'm really unsure how I stand to comment on this, but I do know that as far as I'm concerned the main reason legal ideology grates on my **** so much is because it generalises the population.

I for one don't want to be the politically aware person who then generalises the police. Things are never black and white and that mentality has never produced any productive or rewarding results transferable to politics.

Am i living in cloud cookoo land here the last i heard is that we employ the police to stop crime and car thieves and joyriders , How in the name of hell are they going to stop them if they cannot pursue them . I can hear the protests now if a joyrider ran down somebody( as they often do ) and the police refused to pursue and catch them. POLICE LET ROAD KILLERS RUN WILD. And you would be the first to complain if it was one of your family who had suffered.

Who have you complained to? Have you gone to the chief of police? To the city council? If that doesn't get their attention, start a political campaign.

The last I heard it was the crown to whom the police were servants and they are 'employed' by no one, hence they have no legal title to employment rights.

I wouldnt shout too loud about 'paying their wages' as they are still looking for last years back pay!

Back to your main topic a single person killed by police drivers is one to many but as for the numbers killed by police drivers no one cares to mention the 100's of thousands saved each year by police actions?

Now take some time to look into how much road deaths have been cut by in the past 10 years or so. Then again, dont bother, you will no doubt just moan about over zealous traffic law enforcement instead.

I think a lot of Police drivers need retraining. I was nearly mowed down by one on a crossing, he had no sirens or lights going. His excuse, he didn't see me, excuse me this was broad daylight. Perhaps he should visit Specsavers.

Many complaints have been lodged against
the police about rank bad driving by many
officers in different parts off the country but
i have yet to see one driver get a conviction
against them.Yes they have a job to do,but
they have to drive with due consideration
for the public.Our kids play in the streets
and the police cannot just mow them down
then get off by not been prosecuted by the
authority's.Yes speed, but with due care and
attention.

They may well have been responding to an emergency but isn't it odd how you never hear of wreckless driving by the fire brigade or ambulances?
Naturally the officers will be cleared of any blame.
