Is there much difference between a maximum and minimum security federal prison?

There is a huge difference. I've never been inside a federal institution, but there is a wealth of information online. Basically, in a minimum prison, people are on their way to being released to a camp. Some violence exists, but it is unusual. In a maximum prison, people are serving long terms for serious crimes, and often feel they have nothing to lose. Violence is much more common.

What does one know about Newton Correct. or Clarinda Correct. the atmosphere? both these were mentioned by lawyer? if he has 11 months of incarciration does this come off a 5 yr. sentence? or off the reduced 5 yr sentence? a mom learning all this. with her 21 yr. son who is on his way to Oakdale. I have called every prision. Now as said would like to find out about atmosphere. dosen't everyone who goes to prision have a set date to getting out? i was told that if son has a set date of getting out depending on behavior that it would not be hindered. I was also told that if his date is such and such but he has sat for months waiting to get into a drug program what must he finish the program before released. if that is the case then he does get out when judge said. yet i was told that the prision cannot hold the prisioner from his set date. confused help i was told all this from the Clarinida Correcty. i hope this gets to you. thanks. |
