Anyone have an old man stalker and you called the police?

An older man started to stalk me at work. He told me he knew where I parked my car, he knew where my office was in the building and used to try to track me down throughout the day. I never ever gave him my phone number. He got information about me from the waiting list in the credit union. I was not amused.

I put an end to this foolishness by telling him that I was going to call the police if he kept stalking me. Someone told me that he had gotten in to some domestic violence with one of his women before for which he got in trouble with the law. So when I threatened to go the police on him, he wised up and left me alone.

I would call a cop or some one strong to be with me for a while, just incase.
And definitely tell people at work not to let anyone know where you are or let anyone in (if you work at an office) who looks like him.

Without knowing what kind of notes he give you that makes it very hard to say what he might do. Maybe in his old age you remind him of some girl he use to know or a daughter that is gone.

i've never had any experience with this, but authority figures probably scared him off. But just to be careful, stay away from him.

I have had to call the police for a stalker he wasn't nearly as old but he was stalking me.

I would have my schedule at work given directly to me, because of the situation and he would still find a way to find out when I was working. It was none stop.....lots more details!!!

When I called the police, the guy was wanted for drugs, grand theft auto, you name it....he even went to school to become a cop and got discharged out of the schooling when his gun was found in a murder sence......

Go to the cops a detective will work with you......it's for your own safty. Just make sure that none of your information is given to the stalker on the paperwork when he gets served saying to stay away......

I had pretty much the same thing happen to me, he didn't leave me notes or anything, but he used to drive by my house all the time and follow me, and if I went for a walk he would get out of his truck and follow me. It got to the point where I wouldn't walk by myself at night. I ended up calling the police on him, and the police knew exactly who he was, I guess he did this to a few other girls as well. The police spoke to him, he followed me one time after that, but I haven't seen him since.

well i think you deffinetly should have told somebody about this sooner but its good that you went to the police now. i think it should clear up i mean he 66 so i wouldnt worry too much. just watch your backand stuff

Have you filed a restraining order yet?? Keep a sharp eye out for this guy and the first time you see him make an IMMEDIATE report. I see one answer here suggested you not tell anyone but the cops about the stalker. That's bad advice, you tell all your friends and co-workers about this guy, all those extra eyes is a big help keeping you safe.

I kind of get the impression that you think that since this guy is and "old man" at 66, he is not a physical threat.

I turn 69 this year. There are few women that I could not physically overpower, even at my advanced age. His age does not make him less of a threat. Do not take this lightly. Keep your eyes open.

OMG! yes, very scary deal, he liked me, and I don't, married at the time also, long story short, he found out where I live, confronted me and my husband, my husband was gonna beat his ***, but I got a restraining order on him, he came for a visit a month later, cop arrested him, he came back again, cop arrested him, and he never showed up ever since, so it could end good and it could end bad. Good luck my dear, get a restraining order on him, put that old coot out of his misery.

I've never gone through this, but if I were you I would of already involved the police.

My best friend has actually had an issue with a stalker before, and she took it to the police who tracked the man down and he is now in jail for emotional distress or something like that

Keep your eyes open. If he keeps up the stalking now that you've made it known via the police that it's unwanted, keep very clear journal notes on times, dates, any evidence like notes, etc., and file charges. Also, keep reporting him if he continues to bother you. Doing so will also give the police a timeline of events for later possible charges. Good luck.

umm, i haven't gone through this before, but it depends on the type of stalker that is after you. It might be one that gives up stalking people all together, he might find someone else, and he might still come after you, but the police are on your side, and you know where the guy lives and who he is, so you will be okay

no but kinda like it i think just to be safe have the police stay in front of your house. do you know if he has problems u kno wat i mean.Id ask the police and see if they could check his record and see if the was anything related to that.
