Are driving offences serious can they stop me geting a job?

i got one driving offence will stop me geting job it was for drink driving

It all depends on what the job entails.

If the job entails that you hold a full UK licence, and you are currently disqualified then obviously it will prevent you getting the job.

If you've served your disqualification and applied for the return of your licence then I see no reason why you shouldn't be eligible to apply. That said if it is necessary to drive for the job you apply for then an employer may choose the person who has held a clean licence. It all depends on your overall skills and abilities and whether you are the best candidate for the job.

depends on the employer and even more on what job your doing.
Most of them, even if its a driving job won't mind minor penalties like speeding, runnign a red light but more serious ones like dangerous driving, drink driving then almost any employer might have a big regard to employing you and treat it the same as if you had a conviction for burglary, theft, armed robbery, shoplifting, public order or anything like that

Depends on the employer policy and the role you are applying for.

If a conviction is spent, then usually it should not have any bearing on a job application, unless you apply to join the Police force.

Only other possible exceptions are driving jobs, but that is down to the employer. If you are required to declare any convictions, most employers simply throw your application in the bin, and you get the standard rejection letter.

Depends on the job. If it involves driving, yes.

It depends what job you are applying for really, if it is a driving job then it could hinder you. If it is unrelated then it should not hopefully be too big a problem. But I strongly recommend always declare any convictions no matter how small as employers can find out in the end.
