Are minors fully responsible for felonies under a parents supervision or is it the parents responsiblity?

I need help. my sons friend has been rolled by his ex several times. my son and his friend went with the kid who was rolled (with toilet paper) and his parents to the girls house and shot it with paintball guns briefly under the parents supervision. my son is 16 and is charged with a felony and he was charged as a minor. we have yet to go to court and i don't want this to happen to him. he is a good kid with good grades and and great SAT scores. i do not want this to ruin his future. all i ask for is sold info with valid sources because i need to verify the information to present it in the court. i am looking for a law that would prove the parents responsible or some law that would just not but a felony on my sons record. please help. also additional information needed is that my son and his friends and the parents were not caught directly but caught on tape. my son and his friends went to the vandalized house and apologized and cleaned it up. no damage was done though.

Any law concerning parental culpability would be for damages caused by a minor.

At 16 your son has several advantages going for him. The case will be sealed once turning 18 and there are several programs to include "youthful offender" and "pretrial diversion" that would get the case dismissed provided he successfully complete a probationary period.

Additionally, your sons clean prior history and good grades do influence a courts decision when dealing with juvenile cases.

i believe it was the parents. he was a minor, he prob does not make choices that are always smart(no offence just way ttens r) the adult had no right to allow him to do that and watch him do it without imput.
