Are there Private Fingerprinting Agencies in CA?

I'm wondering if there is a private fingerprinting agency in CA which could locate and identify a fingerprint on an envelope/letter? I don't want the police involved, I would like to resolve the issue myself and find out who the sender of the letter was (who remained anonymous). Granted, the person may not be in the system, but I still want to give it a shot.
PS: As for background, this seems to be a stalker situation who remains secretive as to his/her identity but decided to write nasty letters.

If you have a print to compare it to, yes there are private folks who are capable of lifting a latent print. They do not have access to the data base to run the latent print through to see if anyone matches, but if you have the prints of a person already they can compare them. |
