Are you afraid of your local government or police officers?

Absolutely, our governments have become the CONTROLLERS, we the people have become the serfs, or slaves to their whims. Customs officers, policemen, etc are treating people like we are their headache, instead of their boss. We pay them to serve the public, yet they look on us as a lower society then them. It sickens me to be treated like a criminal, before all the facts are on the table, while actual criminals are given the benefit of the doubt.

Mayor lives across the street and I know every Officer on the force. Pretty good group of guys. Why be afraid of them?

Police, no. I know several of them and they are very nice. Of course this is a small city, approximately 15,000 people and we don't have a bunch of police. The local government? Yes. They are constantly wanting to raise taxes so they can get a $500,000 annual raise and are trying to have the community to pay for the electric bill of the city offices - added to your electric bill each month. Isn't that what part of my taxes are going for now?

Nope, I actually know most of the local politicians and the police here are pretty much okay guys and gals.

No, I'm not. I have worked in local gov. for many years. Most are very moderate in politics.

No, where I live people are quite proud of them. Our streets are safe and the laws are upheld.

Yes they are all basically corrupt and the police officers lie. You know the movie American Gangster, about Henry Lucas, the Harlem Drug Dealer? Well in that movie it said, I think this is the correct number, that 2/3's of the New York Police Department were corrupt and on the take with drug money.

You know we keep adding officers to handle this War on Drugs, which I think is a big waste of tax payer money. Drugs are still getting into this country and that is never going to stop. It is no different than prohibition on alcohol. Anytime you have black market anything there is a certain amount of violence that goes along with it, black market anything creates crimes. Just think of all the money tax payers could save if the War on Drugs ended. But the thing is that you also have to think about all of the law enforcement people that would be out of jobs.
All of the court officials that would be out of jobs, etc. etc.

Basically they can do whatever they want and lie about it and get away with it. I think we are becoming a police state, like Ancient Rome, where they brutalized the people, they do the same thing here in the US.

where i live the police pull people over all the time, all you have to do is sneeze and your getting TICKET. THEY Have to meet their quota. the illegals get away with everything. i wish obama would turn the feds lose on this town.

Oklahoma State Patrol scares me....they are the most corrupt police in the USA...Arkansas police are pretty good.
