Arlington county virginia driving on a restricted license, whats the possible jail sentence?

I don't know about your area but in mine ... if you are caught driving on a suspended license <provided your not DUI, eluding, or anything this serious> you will probably only have to pay a fine and your license suspension will be extended.

Sounds to me like his behavior leaves something to be desired.

I would suggest throwing yourself upon the mercy of the judge or getting a good lawyer.

Sounds to me that if he can't learn to play by the rules like everyone else, he NEEDS to go to jail. Especially before he kills himself and someone else.

I woulld say about 2 years in jail and they might revoke your driver's licence for a few years or for life depending on how severe they think it might be.

These Virginia lawyers claim the maximum is 6 months and the fine could be $1,000.

In Podunk Texas you would probably be treated like you just killed somebody!Your picture will be in the paper and everybody would know everything in the worst possible way!!You are damn lucky you are in Virginia!!!

But obviously he isn't on good behavior, so he's not meeting the requirements of his original sentencing. In Oklahoma if caught he would go to jail, and his vehicle would be towed.

as long as the defendant is not black or driving to slow to fast or in an erratic manner he or she won't get picked up so it doesn't matter.

Where I'm from It's suspended for whatever length of time providing you meet the condition's the court has imposed!
You didn't meet those conditions so you go do your time! You shouldn't drink and drive period and the defendant deserves to go do some time!

Society establishes rules for a reason. Personally, I think anyone convicted of DUI should serve a minimum of 90 days for the first offense. Why you ask? because they have placed me, my family, kids,parents etc in physical danger because they couldn't control their drinking. It's no different than shooting a gun in a full football stadium and hoping you don't hit someone. Second offenders have told society that they don't care about the rules and should get to meet Bubba down in cell #69. As you might have guessed, I have no tolerance for DUI's. I lived in Northern VA for 12 years and saw countless DUI's on their 3rd and 4th offense. It's no wonder that MADD was founded in this area.

There are a lot of different questions that come into play when you are asking for a response to your question. The first item that I need to know is if you were driving on a restricted license, what time of the day is the restricted license limited to? Did you violate that time frame? Is the restriction to and from work only? Again, did you violate that? If you did violate any of these questions that contradicted your restriction then you will super-seed the ASAP and go to jail and also pay the fine.
