As a smoker how long do i have left before?

Sooner than you think old son. The EU are, at this very moment, discussing the unacceptable levels of nicotine in cigarettes with the view to banning them. I went through the agony of giving up two years ago. And do you know what, there are times when i could STILL happily relax with a smoke. And i still get angry when idiots blame smokers for every thing too, ha ha. I suppose once a smoker, Always a smoker. is sherry f right...does the Queen smoke? well i never new that...... smirk.

which are made in Britain

The government are too greedy for that,so they'll just keep increasing the tax on them as that's the only way they can think of raising extra revenue and they don't really care about your health.

The amount spent in the NHS on smoking related diseases is minuscule compared to the revenue raised from the sale of cigs and tobacco.

it will be a very long time i think because do you think non smokers are going to welcome having to pay extra tax to make up the revenue of lost tAXASon tobacco

it never will.
if all smokers stopped today the uk would crumble.The Government would lose millions in Taxes.
And all the anti smokers would have to pay 60/70p in the pound TAX
That would stop all the anti smoker moaning about us AND THEY WOULD SOON BE PLEASED FOR US TO START AGAIN !!.

With the next 20 years I predict that cigarettes will not be available to buy from normal stores. I think you will have to go to specialist shops with an almost like prescription to buy them. I think you will have to have regular counselling and will be encouraged to stop.

I expect loads of thumbs down for this with comments like freedom of choice etc etc and as an ex smoker I know how hard it is to stop.

But ask any smoker if they regret starting and the answer is yes - and we need to stop other people starting.

I would love for it to become illegal everywhere, but it won't, as the government gets too much tax revenue from the poor people who smoke. But I can dream.
